People Behind Your Portfolio Success
We're not like most investment firms. Our team members actually read market reports during breakfast and debate portfolio strategies over coffee. Some call it obsessive. We think it's what your investments deserve.
Built on Real Experience, Not Theory
Most investment monitoring platforms were built by developers who learned finance from textbooks. Our founders spent fifteen years managing portfolios before writing a single line of code.
That difference matters when markets get weird. And markets always get weird eventually.
We started Dryxo Fwidu in early 2019 because existing tools treated investment monitoring like checking your email. But your portfolio isn't your inbox. It needs context, pattern recognition, and someone who remembers what happened in 2008.
Our Saskatoon office might seem like an unusual place for a financial technology company. But being away from Toronto's Bay Street groupthink helps us see things differently. Plus, our overhead costs mean we can invest more in actual talent instead of expensive downtown rent.
Meet Some Familiar Faces
These are the people who'll actually be monitoring your investments. No corporate headshots taken in 2018 that don't look like us anymore.
Darren Wickstrom
Lead Portfolio Analyst
Darren spent twelve years at a major Canadian bank before joining us in 2021. He got tired of telling clients their concerns weren't important enough for personalized attention. Here, every portfolio gets his actual attention, not an algorithm pretending to care.
Verity Braithwaite
Risk Assessment Specialist
Verity joined our team in 2023 after working in institutional risk management. She's the person who spots problems before they become problems. Her background includes navigating the 2020 market chaos, which taught her that textbook risk models break exactly when you need them most.
What We Actually Do All Day
- Market Pattern Recognition We track correlations that automated systems miss. Like noticing when commodity trends start affecting tech stocks three weeks before algorithms catch on.
- Portfolio Stress Testing We run scenarios based on real historical events, not just mathematical models. Your portfolio needs to survive actual market conditions, not theoretical ones.
- Client Communication When something important happens, we explain it in plain language. No hiding behind jargon or pretending market drops are "buying opportunities" when they're just drops.
- Regulatory Navigation Canadian investment regulations change constantly. We stay current so you don't have to read TSX bulletins at midnight.
- Technology Development Our monitoring tools get updated based on what we actually need, not what venture capitalists think sounds impressive.
We're Looking for Specific People
Our team is growing carefully. We're hiring two additional portfolio analysts for positions starting in September 2025. We need people who understand that investment monitoring is detail work that matters.
If you have real experience managing portfolios and you're tired of working somewhere that treats clients like account numbers, we should talk.
We offer competitive compensation, actual work-life balance, and the chance to work with clients who'll remember your name.
